The Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias Action Coalition (ADRDAC), in partnership with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), is excited to announce that the Mile High United Way (MHUW) 211 ADRD and Care Partner Resource Repository is live and ready to share with Coloradans. This resource repository aims to connect our community with valuable resources, information, services and supports related to their needs surrounding ADRD and being a care partner.
If you have a loved one who has been diagnosed with dementia, we hope that you will use this resource guide to find resources for your loved one and your familia.
How to support the Alzheimer’s Association
-

Support SB79
Support SB 79 to protect older Coloradans from financial abuse
Tell your state legislators to support SB25-079 Colorado Vending of Digital Assets Act, to help protect older Coloradans from financial fraud.
The Problem
Fraud involving cryptocurrency ATMs is increasing rapidly and targeting older adults. Cryptocurrency ATMs (crypto ATMs) are currently found in supermarkets, convenience stores, gas stations, bars and restaurants.
However, unlike traditional financial institutions, crypto ATMs are largely unregulated at the state level and lack sufficient consumer fraud protections. As a result, crypto ATMs are being used by criminals to steal hundreds of millions of dollars from Americans each year through scams.
What Would SB 079 Do?
Consumer protections included in this bill:
Imposing daily transaction limits
Posting fraud warning notices
Providing a paper receipt of the transaction

Share your caregiver story
The Alzheimer's and Related Dementias Action Coalition (ADRDAC) is currently working on its five year implementation of the Colorado State Plan to Address Alzheimer's, Colorado Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias State Plan, with a goal to build a public health infrastructure to address dementia in Colorado.
An important part of this plan is gathering stories from those impacted by Alzheimer's disease and related dementias (ADRD) to share with legislators and community leaders to influence policy and create positive change.
Take a few moments to share a specific caregiver story with your elected officials.
Introduce yourself and who you provide(d) care for
What was your biggest obstacle as a caregiver
An action you want your elected officials to take
