SB22-098 Program Allowing Re dispensing of Unused Drugs (sponsored by Sen. Rodriguez)

Public, health care providers, pharmacies and health care facilities and drug manufacturers may donate prescription drugs and over the counter meds to be re dispensed with prescription free to qualified patients. Does not apply to controlled substances. There may be a small fee for processing.

 

HB22-1100  Prohibit Discrimination Covid 19 Vaccine Status (sponsored by Rep Ransom) Prohibits an employer from taking adverse action against employee based upon vax status. The bill questions whether the vax is safe or effective and should not be required.

 

HB22-1199  Visitation Requirements Health Care Facilities (sponsored by Rep Geitner)  Requires healthcare facilities to have “compassionate care visits” to family members of patients.   The bill speaks to the many people who died without seeing their family members.  The bill proposes that visitors could use PPE and visit their loved one. The bill lists conditions such as end of life and grieving a loved one as reasons to be able to see a loved one.

 

The Colorado Nurses Association may not hold the annual Legislative Dinner this year. This is the well attended dinner where legislators are invited to meet their nurse constituents.
