2020 Nurse Practice Act has passed!

This was an important year for Registered Nurses. Our practice act was expiring this year and the legislative body had the task of reviewing proposed changes and ratifying a new practice act for nurses.  The Colorado Nurses Association accepted suggested amendments form nursing groups from across the state.  Our practice act was scrutinized line by line and proposed changes were considered by the CO House of Representatives and the CO Senate.  On Friday, June 3, the Colorado Senate had their final vote and our new Act was passed!  The new act contains changes for Advanced Practice Registered Nurses and clarifies delegation of nursing tasks, among other changes.
